Premier Law firm located in Brooklyn is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal.

Real Estate Practice
This firm is a leader in the commercial real estate market.  They have a  robust Cooperative housing and Condominium practice.

Your Role- work independently and as a team member 
1.  Acting as a transfer agent in facilitating the transfer of shareholders’ stock and leases to new purchasers. You will be working with managing agents and coop boards.
2. Drafting basic contracts of sale, have knowledge of offering plans and amendments.
3. Drafting condominium offering plans and amendments to coop, and condominium plans important 4. Review and clearance of title reports, arranging for a payoff of mortgage loans, and coordinating closings with all parties.
3. Counsel to borrowers for underlying mortgages on multifamily real estate including cooperatives.
4. Counsel to lenders of commercial mortgages. Representation of sellers and purchasers of residential and commercial real estate.

Background Profile:

1.     5 plus years of Commercial Real Estate  including Condo and Coops
2.     Thorough understanding of reviewing and analyzing title and survey documents, preparing work product relating to that and negotiating title policies in connection with land acquisition and disposition transactions.  Have experience in condominiums and co-ops relating to closings.
3.     Strong understanding of legal terminology and real estate verbiage.
4.     Attend meetings while taking and consolidating notes.
5.     Transcribe, proofread, and file legal documents prior to deadlines.
6.     Manage travel logistics for one or more attorneys. 
7.     Manage schedules including:  court depositions, hearings, and other meetings as determined by an attorney.
8.     Keep and organize court files.
9.     Experience with drafting excel spreadsheets.
10.  Great attention to detail, time management, and the ability to prioritize work tasks effectively.
11.  Organization and multitasking skills.
12.  Comfortable working with all levels of business professionals, including but not limited to senior management and colleagues in all departments at a fast pace.
13.  Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Research on databases such as ‘West Law’
