Commercial Real Estate And Corporate Paralegal

A Hartford Law Firm seeks a self-motivated, detail oriented paralegal with at least 3 years' commercial real estate experience to support a busy team of attorneys in the Firm's commercial real estate and corporate practice group. This position will be performed in-office, not remotely.Position requires excellent interpersonal skills, analytical skills, communication and organizational skills. Must have outstanding proofreading and follow-up skills, be detail oriented and a self-starter possessing the ability to work independently within time sensitive deadlines and to prioritize work on a high volume of files.Duties will include:" assisting the transaction closing process from start to finish, including preparing closing checklists, settlement statements, closing packets for distribution and return" interacting directly with clients, vendors and other outside parties" working with title insurance companies, analyzing surveys, title search reports, commitments and policies; coordinating escrows and recording packages" reviewing leases and preparing abstracts; drafting estoppels, SNDAs, commencement date agreements and similar lease-related documents" conducting municipal searches and lien searches and summarizing results" preparing conveyance, release and other documents for recording" submission of documents for filing with State agencies, town clerk offices, etc." organizing and maintaining physical and electronic files; assembling closing booksAdditional experience with general corporate law matters a plus, including entity formation, amendments, dissolutions, mergers; review of minute books and stock ledgers; preparing authorizing resolutions; documenting equity transfers; assisting with closings.Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, ADOBE or comparable software, and Citrix ShareFile.
