FINANCE & REAL ESTATE ASSOCIATES - Connecticut Preferred; DC and Remote will be considered

Shipman & Goodwin LLP is seeking two associates to expand our national commercial real estate lending practice.  Candidates should have three to six years of experience in commercial real estate representing either borrowers and/or lenders.  Job responsibilities include running diligence and drafting loan documents, supervising paralegals and junior associates, and ultimately managing transactions from start to finish.  Preference for candidates with experience in all asset classes (e.g. office, multi-family, retail, hospitality),  and experience with structured debt and secondary market (e.g. the buying and selling of loans).  For one of the positions, knowledge of New York governing law, particularly New York lien law, and/or consolidation and assignments is preferred, as is admission to the NY and CT bar.  Although we would prefer a candidate to work out of one of our Connecticut offices, we are flexible and we would consider applicants who prefer to work out of our DC office or remotely.
