EMPLOYMENT, LABOR & WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT STAFF ATTORNEY The law firm of Epstein Becker & Green is seeking an individual to work as a staff attorney in its growing national management-side Employment, Labor & Workforce Management (ELWM) practice. The office location is flexible, and we will consider candidates to be affiliated with any of the Firm’s existing offices. Candidates should have a minimum of eight years of relevant experience in employment law, counseling and/or litigation, including knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws (e.g., Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, ADEA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and similar state/local laws, wage and hour, trade secret law). In this position you will provide knowledge base support, thought leadership / marketing support, and provide new business support, and specifically will: · Review daily news aggregators for legislative and case-law developments · Track legislative and regulatory employment law changes (federal and 50 states) · Monitor resources such as Fiscal Note and Westlaw/Practical Law for updates to statutory, regulatory, and executive agency materials · Work with summer and junior associates to promote development of research and writing skills · Draft and edit client advisories (Insights) and blog posts; research and draft weekly Government Resources column for Coronavirus Resource Center · Research/draft/ghostwrite and edit articles for various publishers · Draft and edit PowerPoint presentations and supplemental materials for attorney training/speaking engagements · Prepare and supplement RFP and pitch content in Word or PowerPoint in coordination with the firm’s Marketing and Business Development teams; proof RFPs and pitch materials · Prepare, update, and maintain practice-specific portions of the website including biographies, as well as other related marketing materials. Candidates must possess strong legal research skills and have excellent communication and writing skills. Candidates must be able to distill complex legislative or regulatory language into client-friendly prose and have the flexibility and the ability to juggle multiple projects with competing deadlines. A collaborative work ethic is essential.
