The Boston office of Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking an associate to join its national and regional Health Care Practice Group - named the national “Law Firm of the Year — Health Care Law” on the U.S. News – Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms" for three years running (2013-2014, 2012-2013 & 2011-2012). The Health Care Practice Group represents health systems, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, senior living facilities, long term care facilities, physician groups, pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, health information technology companies, life sciences companies, other health care entities, as well as venture and private equity investors focused on health care and life sciences. The Boston office's health care practice is busy and growing, with 11 full-time health lawyers and staff support from a full-service office including corporate, litigation, IP, and other essential services. The candidate, however, will work with lawyers and clients across the firm. The ideal candidate will possess 3 to 6 years of corporate and transactional experience with particular emphasis in health care transactions and work with health care-focused clients. The ideal candidate will have general knowledge of federal and state health care regulatory environments and their affect and interplay in health care transactions and day-to-day business matters affecting health care industry clients. Excellent academic credentials, writing and communication skills, including the ability to converse with firm clients on a regular basis required.
