Cozen O’Connor’s New York Downtown office seeks a department attorney for the Subrogation & Recovery Department.  The department attorney will be responsible for evaluating and handling in excess of 100 large property claims per year.  The department attorney will be responsible for coordinating the investigation, including retention and management of experts, identifying potential theories of liability, and client reporting.  The department attorney will also attend court appearances, site inspections and joint evidence exams on matters handled by more senior attorneys. In addition, the department attorney will be responsible for handling their own caseload of subrogation claims in litigation.  Ideal candidates will have a minimum of three years of experience in handling insurance claims, preferably subrogation and recovery matters.  Excellent interpersonal, research and writing skills, and New York license are required.
