Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate with Solid Experience in Trademark and Copyright Law

Boutique intellectual property law firm is seeking a full-time mid-level litigation associate with solid experience in trademark and copyright litigation, to work as a key member of its IP Litigation and Anti-Counterfeiting team of Partners and Associates.
 
We are currently looking for a positive, dynamic, and highly motivated individual with exceptional multi-tasking and oral and written communication skills to join our team. 
 
Duties:

Manage complex IP litigations including drafting and filing of pleadings, motions, etc., court appearances, drafting and responding to discovery, communications with clerks and deposition, hearing and trial preparation;
Conduct IP enforcement activities such as investigations and background research on targets, drafting demand and response letters, engaging in communications and settlement discussions and drafting settlement agreements and negotiating the terms thereof; 
Perform factual and legal research to identify creative solutions to nuanced legal issues;
Prepare and file recordations for trademarks and copyrights with United States Customs and Border Protection to enforce against the importation of counterfeit goods, communications with CBP and ICE regarding seized shipments, coordinating with clients to gather necessary information for the creation of Product ID Guides and preparing and engaging in presentations and trainings;
Advise clients with respect to copyright prosecution, including the preparation and filing of copyright applications and subsequent correspondence with the U.S. Copyright Office;
Supervision and training of junior associates and law school interns.

Skills/Qualifications:

At least 2-5 years of intellectual property litigation experience;
Bachelor and Juris Doctor required;
Admission to NY State Bar required;
Detail-oriented with strong organization and communication skills;
Demonstrated excellence in creative legal writing;
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently, as well as in a team setting, to manage competing deadlines and assignments;
Enthusiastic, energetic, confident and highly motivated personality;
In-court Federal litigation experience preferred.
