There are currently openings for interim judicial positions resulting from the election process, resignations and/or retirements.  Due to his commitment to making government more transparent and open to the people of the Commonwealth, Governor Tom Wolf recently created a process to assist him in appointments for these positions.  The process for filling interim vacancies for Pennsylvania judges is, by design, careful and deliberate.  Applicants will be required to complete an application ("Questionnaire for Local Judicial Nominees") and may be required to participate in an interview.  The Governor will then select final nominees and seek the advice and consent of the Pennsylvania State Senate.
