Our client, an industry leader/household name, seeks to hire a Director-level Counsel with expertise in Intellectual Property matters and/or technology transactions. This newly created role will serve as one of three IP and technology counselors. You will support the company’s three primary business lines and have great visibility with team leaders across the organization.
 
Role & Responsibilities: The Director will be responsible for managing the company’s IP assets (including the patent and trademark portfolios), establishing IP protection policies, managing any IP litigation, advising on commercialization strategies, managing IP compliance issues (e.g., open source software strategy), providing support on the IP aspects of M&A deals, and serving as the subject matter expert on the IP terms of a contract.
 
You also will be involved with complex, cutting edge work regarding the company’s market facing technology offerings—specifically, you will serve as a primary POC to the New Ventures team and assist in the development of Artificial Intelligence-driven service offerings. At any given time, you will work on offerings which are at various stages of ideation to commercialization, and most of your day will be spent interfacing with clients.
