Exclusive white collar/FCPA associate position (3-6 years)

Summary of position:  Rapidly growing white-collar/FCPA practice at prestigious international firm in Washington, DC is seeking to add a mid-level (3-6 years) associate to serve an essential role on the team.  There will be a substantial, but not exclusive, focus on FCPA issues, with the goal of having a mixed FCPA and more general white-collar practice.
Nature of work:  This is a broad-based white collar and investigations practice.  The white collar/FCPA work is divided into roughly three buckets:

Investigations (internal and government), representing companies and individuals, including in charged criminal and filed civil cases
Deal Due Diligence (support for companies going through M&A activity, other financing activities, IPOs etc.)
Compliance Counseling

Selling points:

Boutique feel within large firm:  You will benefit from the “best of both worlds” by working in a small group within the structure (and top-tier compensation model) of a respected international firm with a mix of clients including well-known companies and small startups.
Mentoring and interaction:  Unusually high level of direct interaction and mentoring from established partners on high-profile matters.  The partners are personable, good teachers, and take time to mentor associates.  The associates are also very collegial and collaborative.
Priority practice group:  This is a priority practice group within the firm, and continuing to grow and invest in this practice (specifically in Washington, DC) is a priority from the highest levels of the firm.
Personal and collegial feel, from partners to associates:  This is a very personable, friendly, and warm practice group.  You do not have to worry about personality challenges that would emerge at some point.  Truly good people.
Sophisticated and interesting matters:  This group has highly regarded practitioners, which has created significant cross-collaboration within the firm and an inflow of work from new clients.  A number of clients are high-profile companies you would immediately recognize.
Nice mix of both FCPA and other white-collar matters:  While there is a significant amount of FCPA-related work, there is opportunity and expectation to work on more broad-based white-collar matters as well.

Type of Experience Sought:

White collar/investigations associate with 3-6 years of experience.
Experience on/exposure to FCPA matters.
Litigation exposure/experience is a plus but not needed
