Associate Attorney

Seeking a self-motivated, experienced Associate Attorney to handle environmental and construction litigation cases for the firm’s clients, primarily in our Marietta office.
Associate Attorney will handle every phase of litigation: pre-suit investigation, drafting complaints, discovery, depositions, negotiation, mediation, arbitration, hearings, second chair at jury and bench trials and post-trial motions. Assist other attorneys and staff with research and writing associated with the optimum candidate’s caseload and other firm needs.  

Must be proficient in performing legal research and writing

Must be proficient in drafting pleadings, briefs, affidavits, discovery, proposed orders, as well as correspondence, memoranda, and opinion letters

Must be well-versed in the Georgia and federal and rules of evidence and civil procedure

Must be able to work well independently and with all members of the group

Experience with taking and defending depositions a plus

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

3 to 5 years litigation practice

Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills

eDiscovery practice experience 

Excellent analytical and legal skills. 

Ability to craft case strategy from start to finish

Resourceful, computer savvy

Proficiency with online legal research

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases

Good time management and organization skills.

Must possess strong organizational skills

Ability to initiate, organize and coordinate complex projects and cases. 

Be reliable and team oriented

Ability to work independently, but work well as a part of the firm team.

Admission to Georgia Bar required
