A rapidly growing Tampa Bay-area company in the retail industry is seeking a senior corporate counsel to handle a range of legal matters, with securities and SEC compliance being a primary focus. This is a very unique opportunity to join an emerging legal team in a leadership role and report directly to the General Counsel. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of sophisticated experience with corporate and securities matters. Areas of responsibility will include contracts, M&A, joint ventures, corporate governance, public company securities filings, and management of outside counsel. Experience in both a law firm and in-house setting is preferred. This position offers significant upward mobility within the company, and the compensation package will be at the top of the Tampa Bay market.
