Corporate Transactions Expert Counsel

If you are a seasoned deal lawyer who wants to lead complex global transactions at a publicly traded global company, we would like to discuss this stellar opportunity with you.  Our client has exclusively engaged us to identify a Corporate Transactions Expert Counsel to join its talented legal team at the company’s Mid-West headquarters.  This Expert Counsel will have substantive responsibility with regard to domestic and global mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and other complex transactions and will report directly to the company’s dynamic Associate General Counsel who has over 30 years of experience at the company and is respected for his strong mentoring and leadership skills.
Our client’s preferred range of experience is around 8-14 years, and candidates must be accustomed to leading large ($100M+) transactions from inception through close.  It is essential that you possess (and are able to demonstrate) a team-orientated approach to your practice in order to be a good cultural fit within this collaborative legal department that places a strong emphasis on engagement and respect.  You also must be a confident and skilled negotiator who is risk astute and possess excellent business acumen and problem-solving skills.  This newly created role requires a self-starter who is flexible, responsive, highly motivated and eager to be constantly learning.  You also will need to exhibit good judgment and a high level of integrity.
This is an exciting time in this company’s legal department, and there are attractive growth opportunities that could lead to people-management responsibilities for someone with strong leadership capabilities.  Relocation assistance will be provided in addition to the competitive compensation and benefits package.
