Our client, a national provider of professional liability insurance for healthcare professionals and providers, has engaged us to identify qualified attorney candidates for multiple openings they have open with their claims team.  Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of claims and litigation experience, with a particular focus on medical malpractice.  The hired attorney will manage a team involved in the claims process from inception through resolution (including the negotiation of settlements).  This includes overseeing litigation, through regular communications with insureds and outside counsel.  They may be asked to participate in mediations, investigate and assess claims, analyze potential coverage issues, and counsel senior claims management and underwriters regarding claims.  Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), along with an exceptional litigation acumen, and a team-oriented approach are critical for success in this position.   Candidates must have prior management experience (ideally of other attorneys).
