Government Contracts Attorney - DC, MD, VA

Whiteford, Taylor & Preston L.L.P. is seeking a government contracting attorney. Candidates will have primary responsibility to provide counsel to clients of the firm’s government contracting practices. Minimum of 4 years’ experience with the federal government, a defense or other government contractor, or with a government contracts practice in a major or boutique law firm is strongly preferred.
Must possess substantial experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating sophisticated government contracts and in advising clients about all aspects of government contracting. Additional experience with commercial transactions, export compliance and international transactions is beneficial.
Preference given to candidates who possess a background in technology and IP-based government contracting.
