Collections Attorney

Job responsibilities include managing a team of legal collections staff in making sure that each defaulted account is being handled properly, keeping senior management apprised on the important cases, and providing guidance to outside counsel when needed.
The right candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' of substantive legal experience in post-judgment collections (preferably of defaulted commercial financing transactions) and an advanced understanding of the post-judgment collections process and litigation tactics (including CPLR Article 52), including the ability to suggest appropriate collections strategies under the circumstances.
This individual must also be comfortable managing a team with a large caseload, have the ability to think outside the box, be detail oriented and organized, and eager to work in a fast-paced environment.
 

Requirements
 
JD Degree
The right candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' of substantive legal experience in post-judgment collections
Defaulted commercial financing transactions preferred
Advanced understanding of the post-judgment collections process and litigation tactics (including CPLR Article 52)
Ability to suggest appropriate collections strategies under the circumstances
