Mid-sized Long Island law firm seeking a full-time attorney with a minimum of five years litigation/trial experience in New York State and Federal courts.
Emphasis on representation of municipal defendants in labor and employment and civil rights matters with related negligence work.
Excellent opportunity for an attorney who is looking for a new relationship.
Responsibilities include:
· Advise and Defend employers in state and federal courts on a wide array of labor and employment and civil rights matters, including wage & hour, discrimination, retaliation and employment tort claims
· Complex motion practice, research and writing, reporting to carriers and municipal clients, all phases of litigation through trial;
· In addition to maintaining a case load, supervision of 3-5 associate attorneys; and· Ability to generate business a plus.
Skills and Educational Requirements:
· Current NY Bar admission; also EDNY and SDNY;
· Juris Doctorate degree from accredited law school;
· Minimum of 5 years of litigation/trial experience;
· Labor and employment and/or municipal law background strongly preferred;
· Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills;
· Ability to meet and exceed minimum billable hour expectations;
