Employment Law Attorney

As part of Meyer Suozzi’s commitment to strategic growth, the firm is seeking lateral Partner(s) and/or Of Counsel, with a proven ability to attract and retain business for its Employment practice. 
Candidates should have a minimum of ten years of relevant transactional and litigation employment experience and a measurable level of portable business.  This position requires knowledge of federal and state labor & employment laws (e.g., wage and hour, trade secret law, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, ADEA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and similar state laws). 
 The candidate should have experience handling employment litigation, including interviewing witnesses, reviewing electronically stored documents, drafting pleadings and various motions and briefs, conducting and defending depositions, interacting with clients and opposing counsel, and attending court appearances.
In addition, it is essential that the candidate have experience providing advice and counsel to employers/management on workplace law issues, including wage and hour, employee relations, mitigation of risk, discrimination, terminations, severance, reductions-in-force, ADA and other workplace accommodation, employment agreements, including executive employment agreements, and employment-related policies. Candidates must possess strong academic credentials and have excellent  communication and writing skills.
