ATTORNEY/TEMPORARY
A small law firm in the NY/NJ area is looking for a contract attorney with about three to five years’ experience litigating in federal court to assist with junior to mid-level litigation work.  The firm focuses on consumer protection matters.   The attorney must be very familiar with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and have actually prepared litigation documents for federal court cases.
  The firm expects the work to be about 40 hours per week,   The attorney must be able to work regularly on-site in Bergen County, NJ (covid protections in place).  There will be some flexibility to work remotely as well.  The firm prefers a NY bar member but will also accept a NJ bar member.   Duties include drafting discovery requests and responses, drafting motions, and conducting legal research.
The work is expected to last three to six months, but may go longer.
