New York City law firm specializing in property damage cases for insurance carriers seeks litigation paralegal to assist the legal team with diversified, high volume caseload.
Job requirements:
• General litigation support for high volume case load
• Assist with drafting complaints, discovery demands and responses and other legaldocuments
• File management
• Electronic filings in NY State and federal courts
• Assist with gathering and analyzing documents and date
• Conduct legal and supplemental research
• Perform related administrative tasks where needed
• Coordinate process servers and other support vendors
Experience:
• Bachelor's degree from accredited college; paralegal certificate a plus
• Minimum of 4 years of litigation paralegal experience
• Knowledge of basic NY State filing system; U.S. District Court filing experience a plus
• Experience with Property Damage claims and/or insurance claims
• Ability to take direction and proactively follow through with tasks independently proofreading skills
• Exceptional organization skills, accuracy and attention to detail
• Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft applications with ability to learn and adapt to other document and database formats
