A Mid-Atlantic based Mortgage Company seeks an experienced transactional lawyer to serve as Associate Corporate Counsel. This full-time position will report directly to the company’s General Counsel. The role requires good judgment, a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and superb contract review and drafting skills.
Responsibilities include:

Review, negotiate and draft contracts
Conduct legal research and draft guidance memos
Review and revise internal policies and procedures
Collaborate with and manage outside counsel

 
Experience, Skills, and Requirements

J.D. degree and membership in at least one state bar
2+ years of transactional law experience from a law firm or in-house
Substantial experience with reviewing and drafting contracts
Proven ability and desire to take ownership of projects and to complete them in a timely manner
Ability to work out of the Fairfax, VA corporate office or ability to relocate
