Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP is seeking an associate attorney with 2 – 3 years of experience to join its privacy and data security team in any of the Firm’s U.S. office locations.  Candidates should have experience advising on compliance with U.S. state and federal privacy laws, including CCPA, CPRA, VCDPA, HIPAA, GLBA, BIPA, and FERPA.  Experience with international privacy laws, like the GDPR and LGPD, is a plus.  The position will involve working with clients on a broad range of data privacy matters, including managing data inventories, preparing privacy compliance documents, creating data access policies and procedures, drafting privacy and data security addenda to contracts, preparing data processing agreements, leading incident response investigations, and performing incident response readiness projects  Candidates with skill sets relating to information technology, cybersecurity, digital marketing, analytics, advertising technology, and/or biometrics are desired.  Certifications from IAPP (U.S., Europe, Canada, Asia, or Latin America) are preferred, but not required.  Interested candidates are encouraged to apply online at https://www.shb.com/careers/legal-recruiting.  Please, no third party submissions.  Shook, Hardy & Bacon L.L.P. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
