Sciarrillo, Cornell, Merlino, McKeever & Osborne, LLC, a twelve attorney firm, located in Westfield, New Jersey, is seeking a full-time paralegal. The paralegal will support multiple lawyers representing boards of education in their capacity as general counsel, labor and employment counsel and special education counsel. The ideal candidate should have prior legal experience working with attorneys and have the ability to prepare the following: draft correspondence, draft initial discovery demands, review and summarize records received from clients, prepare materials for trial hearings and trials, electronically file both with State and Federal level, monitor case dockets, assist in the preparation for negotiations, mediation and fact finding. Technology proficiency in various software forms including Word, Excel, and document management software is essential and ability to manage assignments for multiple attorneys a must. Education and other requirements:1. Bachelor or Associate's Degree;2. Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program;3. Strong verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills; and4.
