Our client, a large privately held health care system, is seeking a Deputy General Counsel to support its large physician group. Candidate must have 6+ years of experience providing advice and counsel on a variety of areas impacting physician groups, including employment matters, restrictive covenants, contracts, corporate reorganizations, litigation and dispute resolution, managed care and reimbursements, and compliance with state and federal healthcare laws and regulations. Ideal candidates will have experience with strategic planning and management of national litigation, including medical malpractice litigation. Candidates should have a strong background in health care, health care litigation, and/or complex business litigation; superior writing, communication, and client relations skills; strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across business functions and with senior business leaders and other colleagues at all levels of the organization. The hired attorney will report directly to General Counsel. Attorneys coming from either a law firm or an in-house environment will be considered.
