School Law Associate

We are seeking two attorneys with a minimum of two to three years of experience to join our prominent and thriving education law practice in either Hartford or Stamford. The first candidate should have experience in representing public schools, or have comparable legal experience. Experience in one or more of the following education law areas is preferred: disability matters including special education, student discipline and student rights, Title IX, investigations, labor relations including collective bargaining and grievance arbitration, employment counseling, Board governance, and non-discrimination issues. The second candidate should have experience in representing independent schools, colleges or universities or have comparable legal experience. Experience in one or more of the following education law areas is preferred: student accommodations, student discipline, employment, non-discrimination issues, investigations, and non-profit governance. For this position, admission to the MA bar is considered a plus. Strong counseling skills and exceptional presentation skills required for both positions. Top academic credentials and excellent written and interpersonal skills are also required along with admission to the Connecticut bar.
