About the Role: As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for defending Chubb-insured clients against a wide array of claims in both New York state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies. You will handle litigation involving directors and officers liability, employment issues, and housing discrimination, making a meaningful impact on our clients. Key Responsibilities: Defend clients in complex litigation matters, including directors and officers liability claims, housing disputes, and employment discrimination cases. Conduct trial work, appellate work, mediations, and arbitrations. Manage pre-trial discovery and depositions, while preparing pleadings and dispositive motions. Provide formal analysis and advice on complex legal issues and litigation strategies. Maintain proactive communication with clients, insurer claim professionals, and colleagues to ensure exceptional service. Who We Are Looking For: We seek a qualified candidate who meets the following criteria: Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Licenses: Bar admission to New York State Courts and New York Federal Courts. Experience: Minimum of 7 years of successful experience in defending directors and officers liability, employment liability, housing discrimination, and ADA claims. Litigation Expertise: Proven track record in New York state and federal courts and administrative agencies, including experience before the EEOC and State Division of Human Rights. Skills: Exceptional oral and written advocacy, strong negotiation skills, critical thinking, and the ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment. Why Chubb?
