Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Associate at Thompson Hine LLP (Cincinnati, OH)

The Cincinnati office of Thompson Hine LLP seeks an associate to join its Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation group, ranked #1 by Chambers in Ohio. The group counsels clients on a broad range of employee benefit and executive compensation issues, including design and implementation of tax qualified retirement plans, health and welfare benefit programs and non-qualified deferred compensation plans, incentive plans and severance pay plans. Its clients consist of publicly traded corporations, privately owned companies, financial institutions and a variety of tax-exempt organizations.

The ideal candidate will have four to six years of experience in employee benefits. This experience should include demonstrated ability in the analysis of ERISA issues and qualified/non-qualified plan drafting. The candidate must have the ability to interact with clients and build rapport to foster client relationships. In-house and/or large firm experience, as well as a tie to Ohio, are strongly preferred.
