Patent Prosecution Associates with 3-6 years of patent prosecution experience to work in the firm's Life Sciences patent group in the San Diego office. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills, superior academic credentials with backgrounds in one of the following fields: organic chemistry, molecular biology, molecular immunology, biochemistry, pharmacology or chemical engineering. Candidates are expected to draft and prosecute patent applications, prepare patent opinion letters, provide IP counseling to clients, and conduct patent due diligence studies in connection with business transactions. Candidates are also expected to supervise junior attorneys and patent agents as part of global client service teams. Advanced degree required.
