Description: Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP is seeking a highly qualified associate with 2-3 years of experience to join our nationally recognized Healthcare Litigation practice in our Los Angeles office.

Our Healthcare Litigation practice represents managed care health plans, health insurers, trade associations, medical providers and other healthcare sector companies in RICO, consumer and unfair competition class actions; government criminal and civil audits, investigations and enforcement actions; ERISA suits; fraud and abuse and qui tam actions; bad faith denial of benefits suits and policy rescission investigations and actions; HIPAA and other privacy matters; antitrust disputes; product liability actions; and pharmaceutical litigation.

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience handling complex litigation, and an interest in handling litigation matters in the healthcare sector. Hands on litigation experience including, taking and defending depositions, handling discovery, drafting pleadings, writing briefs and preparing and arguing motions is preferred.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of solid complex litigation experience at a major law firm
• Interest in handling litigation matters in the healthcare sector
• Outstanding academic credentials
• Excellent writing and advocacy skills
• California Bar Membership in good standing
